Preparing the planters will not be necessary as they have been left in good shape. Planting will proceed as announced.

Planters will be prepared for planting Sunday, May 23rd. Workers need to meet at 1:00 P.M. at the southeast corner of the square (Oak and 3rd ), Bring short handled shovels and trowels in order to work in manures and other soil amendments. Planting will be done on Sunday May,30th at 1:00. Rain or shine. Meeting in the same location, workers should bring trowels and a few gallons of water would be helpful. The color scheme is monochromatic pinks which I understand is "the" color scheme of the year.

January 2010:
The planters on the square plantings consist of four planters 3 x 3 x 3’ which are placed on each corner of the Courthouse Square. The Business Men’s Assn. contracts for these seasonal plantings. The SCMG have been asked each year to design, plant and groom these planters for the summer season. Watering is contracted out to professionals who also do the other three seasons.
