Summary
of the WIMGA Board Meeting
January 12, 2011 – WisLine
The Board conducted the following business at the January meeting:
1. The Coordinator’s update included a mention of the next name badge order, future regional and international MG conferences and a training on IPM open to MGVs at a discount. Susan will be out of town Jan 22 – February 4 (for the MG tour to Costa Rica) and will have limited email contact during that time. The deadline for submitting WIMGA dues is Jan 15. 2. The 2012 WIMGA Annual Conference committee has confirmed Melinda Myers as the keynote speaker on Friday evening. They are looking for vendors and would appreciate suggestions with contact information. The committee will be soliciting for items for the silent auction, and are looking for participant bags and their contents. Raffle items include a handmade quilt, sculpture and more.
3. The Procedures Committee had nothing to report.
4. The WIMGA Secretary requested local reps provide any updates to local MGA officers or changes in local reps so we can keep our records up to date.
5. The Southeast Wisconsin MGA Plant Sale organizing committee has created a Facebook page to promote their event, show how plants are prepared and some of what’s available. This has been a good marketing tool, generating interest outside the group.

WisLine at 4:30 p.m.
